With a diverse educational background and over three decades of experience in social development and management, Shelly J.Kerketta is a seasoned development professional dedicated to fostering sustainable change. Graduating from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, Shelly pursued a Post Graduate degree in Rural Development from XISS and further enhanced her skills as a Certified Development Facilitator sponsored by UNICEF at TISS, Mumbai.
Throughout her career, Shelly has played instrumental roles in conceptualizing and implementing strategic plans for inclusive social policies, sustainable livelihood initiatives, and inclusive market development projects. Her expertise extends to collaborating with government bodies and rural communities to address various social and economic challenges.
Currently serving as the General Manager at Mlinda Charitable Trust, Shelly leads the economic development strategy and financing of clean energy-based value chains, micro-enterprises, and climate-smart agriculture initiatives.As the Mlinda group enters an exciting phase of replication of their model she is enabling , Mlinda Charitable Trust to play a key role for scaling up its efforts to promote a robust local economy using clean energy as a foundational platform, with a focus on impacting 1.3 million people across India and Africa.
