About me
Dr. Court Strong is a Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Utah whose research centers on atmospheric dynamics and climate with a particular emphasis on water-related processes. His work spans hydrometeorology, the cryosphere, and climate-ecology interactions, with a focus on water resources in a changing climate. He investigates how large-scale climate variability and change influence precipitation, snowpack, runoff, and drought, and he collaborates closely with hydrologists and water managers to ensure that his research informs real-world decision-making. Prior to his academic career, he spent seven years as a broadcast meteorologist before earning his Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia.
