Margaret Lumley, PhD - Founder & CEO. Margaret holds a PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she developed the technology upon which Roca was founded. Her expertise is rooted in materials synthesis and electrochemistry and extends to aqueous rechargeable battery systems. Margaret has been developing her business expertise for half a decade, earning the prestigious Activate Fellowship--the leading clean technology entrepreneurship program--and Forbes 30 Under 30 recognition in the process. She is also the PI on a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research grant from the National Science Foundation.
